 How New Yorkers are navigating where to live and how to pay for it during the pandemic

New York, one of the most expensive cities in the world, is also home to some of the poorest families in the U.S.

As the pandemic roils the economy in ways that disproportionately affect low-wage workers and people of color, more and more families in the city are struggling to get by.

This NYCity News Service project, reported by students in Lam Thuy Vo’s Fall 2021 Advanced Data Journalism class, documents the spread of housing insecurity and  the need for government-aid programs.
